Güell Park forms part of the modernist Antonio Gaudí route in Barcelona. Declared a World Heritage Site by the UNESCO in 1984, it is a reflection of Gaudi's artistic plenitude in which the architect perfected his techniques, inspired in nature, which he would later apply to the renowned temple of the Sacred Family.
Güell Park was originally designed to be a luxury homes complex with all the latest developments of the times. However, due to their steep prices for the times and the distance between the complex and what in those days was the city of Barcelona, the project did not come to fruition and it was converted into a public park.
It also contains the Gaudi House-Museum, which offers interesting information on the Catalonian architect. However, the park is unquestionably an idyllic place for walks, inspiration and meditation - a unique corner in the heart of the city.
Located in the district of Salud, right above the prestigious Vila de Gracia, it can be reached on the "Tourist Bus" or by a short walk from the "Lessep" Line 3 Metro station.
It is ideal for taking a walk with children as it contains curious elements that, thanks to their shapes and colours, will awaken the interest of the little ones.
Our apartments our very well placed in the district of Gracia, many of them close to Güell Park, and they are perfect for enjoying an enchanting holiday in Barcelona.
